We're Having A............

We had our anatomy appointment today and found out we are having a baby boy!!!!!!!!

Owen is perfectly healthy and growing. More than anything, it was such a blessing knowing I have a healthy baby growing inside me. HONESTLY... I know people say, 'I don't care as long as it's healthy'... but at the end of the day, it does not matter what is between those tiny little legs, it matters more if it's little heart is strong and beating and they have 10 fingers and 10 toes (and 2 testicles in this case! ha!)

I am in love with the fact that we are having a boy! I thought I really wanted a little girl, for the simple fact of little girl's clothes are to die for... but I cried (happy tears) as soon as she told us it was a boy. Just knowing I will be holding the hand of a tiny little boy that will be half the love of my life and half me was (is) overwhelming. I could not wait to get in the stores to start shopping! The only thing I bought before we knew what it was were books, because those are unisex for the most part.

I promise, more pictures to come later on... but I am so tired! We texted the picture below to our siblings and closest friends. (our parents were in the room with us!)

We bought Owen's bedding today and are getting paint for his room and his furniture tomorrow! So excited!

XOXO Haley and Owen

  2. Okay, I feel like *such* a stalker, because I've been around Facebook and Twitter already...
But you remind me so much of me!
When we went in for our anatomy check-up, I was so convinced wanted a girl. I wanted to play dolls, and buy pink and that was that. I wanted a girl. Then the second I saw my hubby's face (because HE got to watch the sonogram- they made ME wait until the resident had found everything and the sonogram specialist had finished- I waited abut 45 minutes while HE knew the whole time! JUST MEAN!!) light up, I knew we were having a boy, and after that I just couldn't even imagine wanting a girl in the first place. Does that make sense?
I realized I was going to get to buy footballs, and play cars and suddenly the appeal of dolls and pink flew right out the window.

*sigh* I just love little boys SO much! I'm so happy that you are thrilled, and even happier to hear that Baby Owen is healthy and looking fabulous. Isn't seeing the heart pumping just INCREDIBLE!?
